Firm Origin
Steve Terrell began his professional career with Reece Hoopes & Fincher, a large land planning and landscape architecture firm based in Atlanta, GA. During his tenure at RHF he worked and lived at project sites and satellite office locations that include Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. His design and project management roles proved to be a wonderful catalyst into private practice. Steve Terrell has over 20 years of professional design experience and is a registered architect and landscape architect in the State of Washington, one of only 25 to hold both licenses. His education includes a Masters of Architecture from University of Washington 1998, Architecture and Sculpture training at the Architecttura Palazo Pio Rome, Italy 1997, a studies in sculpture at University of Alabama at Birmingham 1994, and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Auburn University 1993.

We have grown and sustained ourselves as a small boutique architecture & landscape architecture firm, with a wonderfully talented staff.

Firm Design Philosophy:
Terrell Design Group is an architecture and landscape architecture firm committed to the seamless integration of the natural and built environment. We believe that the success and quality of our projects hinge upon the ongoing collaboration with our clients to produce designs that embody and reflect their aspirations. We have successfully helped clients turn complicated design problems into simplified, beautiful design solutions on time and on budget. We believe in using sustainable, honest materials in a way that expresses the structure in our designs. When you expose a column, beam, or wood ceiling you get a feel for the bones of the structure. We use the same tectonic principles to create outdoor landscape rooms with stone, steel, and plants.

Firm Services:
Our work experience includes large scale residential master planning, commercial architecture & landscape architecture , institutional buildings, interior design & space planning, and residential architecture & landscape architecture. In our history we have completed millions of dollars worth of diverse projects that range from residential landscape design to $3 million dollar office buildings.

We have also been passionately involved in the restoration of salmon habitat by restoring creek beds and removing culverts that have become fish impediments by replacing them with free-spanning bridges.
