Program: McClean Ironworks is a steel fabricator and erector and wanted an office that would reflect their trade. Create a two-story steel and glass corporate office attached to a steel frame factory.

Design:  The building has a large two-story entry with exposed steel wide flanges and metal ceilings. Office windows have views of Mt. Rainier and mezzanines that over look spaces below inside the building.

The interior floors are colored concrete with inlaid steel designs. The reception area is open and inviting from the exterior entry. An exposed steel staircase is on axis from the entry and leads to the second floor conference room and offices. Natural light fills the interior spaces through large exterior windows and interior relites in each office. Offices were designed to have direct access to the fabrication shop.
